Hannover, Germany May 7, 2008 ODVA will host its 13th Annual Meeting of Members in February 2009 at the Mission Inn Resort and Club in Howey-In-The-Hills (Orlando), Florida, USA. Open to both ODVA members and nonmembers, the Annual Meeting will be part of a multiple day event that will feature technical paper presentations, developers training, workshops, and networking social events.
The ODVA Annual Meeting of Members is a cornerstone event for the association and its members, drawing attendance from leading automation suppliers, OEMs, and users who come to learn the latest business and technical trends in CIP Networking technologies, said Katherine Voss, Executive Director of ODVA. It is not surprising that the 12th Annual Meeting attracted attendees from 60 companies from over a dozen countries: the ODVA Annual Meeting is a unique venue that allows executives, technical experts, and marketing professionals to collaborate and share best practice implementations and technical knowledge in an open, vendor-neutral forum. ODVAs 13th Annual Meeting of Members will be held from 8.00 am to 12.00 pm on Thursday, February 26, 2009 and will be supported by multiple days of presentations and training related to the Common Industrial Protocol (CIP). CIP and its network adaptations EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet, and CompoNet, along with the CIP Safety, CIP Sync, and CIP Motion application extensions, are managed by ODVA.
