3eTI announces Swami Iyer as company president

May 19, 2017 - Ultra Electronics, 3eTI recently announced the appointment of Swami Iyer to the position of president. Iyer assumes the role, effective immediately, with the departure of Benga Erinle who resigned his role this month to pursue personal priorities and new business opportunities.
Iyer brings 3eTI customers and partners more than 20 years of experience in engineering, science, aerospace and security technologies. He has a track record of driving profitability and organizational growth through new programs emphasizing innovation and accountability. Iyer possesses extensive expertise in the areas of defense and cyber resiliency, as well as in business development and go-to-market strategy and operations.
Prior to joining 3eTI, Iyer was vice president with at Honeywell Aerospace where he led international and domestic aerospace and defense programs. Before joining Honeywell, he served in the US Air Force for more than 17 years in several top leadership positions. Notable among these: Chief of the South Asia, Australia & Oceania Branch for the Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force, International Affairs, Director of Operations for the Air Force Test Pilot School at Edwards AFB, and B-52 Flight Test Commander / Chief of Standards & Evaluation. Iyer holds a Bachelor of Science and Engineering degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Michigan, a Master of Science and Engineering degree in Flight Test Engineering from the USAF Test Pilot School, and a Master of Science and Engineering degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan.
