AutomationDirect introduces four types of Metrol limit switches

July 26, 2019 - Metrol limit switches are designed to provide precision, repeatability and a long service life. Four types of Metrol precision limit switches are now available from AutomationDirect.

The actuator of sliding/angled offset limit switches detects objects traveling straight on or sliding into the actuator from an angle with 5-micron repeat accuracy. Metrol low contact-force limit switches are available with 5 or 10-micron repeat accuracy and a contact force of only 0.1 Newtons and are suitable for applications requiring extra sensitivity. High-vacuum resistance style limit switches with 3-micron repeat accuracy are a choice for installations inside a vacuum, such as environmentally controlled manufacturing processes.

High-temperature stopper limit switches are rated up to 200 deg. C and incorporate a mechanical stop along with the limit switch function, eliminating the need for a separate stop in many applications.
