HIMA introduces turbine safety solutions at POWER-GEN International

December 9, 2016- Companies that refuse to compromise on safety in turbine and burner management operation will want to learn about solutions from HIMA Americas at booth No. 3574 during POWER-GEN International.

Thousands of pieces of fired equipment are used by industry today, and a vast majority of them have outdated burner management systems. HIMA offers a SIL-rated solution that ranges from identification of required upgrades to installation and after-sales services.

The HIMA SIL 3 platform combines all safety functions and machinery control, including overspeed trip and anti-surge control and meets all requirements of API 670 5th edition.

API 670 5th edition establishes stronger requirements for protecting turbines and specifically addresses electronic overspeed protection, surge detection and emergency shutdown systems. Additionally, API requires these and other functions be separated. HIMA’s TMC solution now makes it possible to meet the new requirements without using individual controllers from different suppliers.
