ISA to hold Technician Day at ISA Automation Week 2012

August 6, 2012 - The International Society of Automation (ISA) announced today the details of its Technician Day Program that will take place at ISA Automation Week 2012: Technology and Solutions Event. The annual conference is scheduled for 24–27 September 2012, at the Orange County Convention Center, West Concourse, in Orlando, Florida, USA.

Technician Day, scheduled for Wednesday, 26 September, offers information that will help attendees sharpen their instrumentation and automation skills and acquire an understanding of the proficiency and performance of today’s instrumentation tools and devices. The Technician Day Program includes:

  • General Session: An Open Discussion About the Future of Automation with industry experts: Michael Caliel, CEO and President, Invensys Operations Management; Wolfgang Morr, General Manager, NAMUR; Chet Mroz, President and CEO, Yokogawa Corporation of America; Robert Novotny, Managing Consultant, Price Waterhouse Cooper; and Cliff Pedersen, CIO, North West Upgrading, Inc.
  • Calibration and Instrument Workshop taught by industry expert, Jim Shields, Product Marketing Manager at Fluke Corporation
  • Basic and Advanced PLCs Workshop; and the Technician Day Mini-Boot Camp, both taught by ISA Certified Instructors
