Outage Management for Power Plants Conference

April 10, 2013 - marcus evans, a conference producing company, will host the 12th Annual Outage Management for Power Plants Conference, August 6-8, 2013 at The Westin Dallas Park Central in Dallas, TX. Key speakers from We Energies and Xcel Energy, along with 15 other industry leaders, will present during this highly anticipated two-and-half-day conference.

This event will be one of the most anticipated fossil generation conferences in 2013. More than 120 senior-level executives from around North America are anticipated to attend, along with thought leading supporting sponsors, exhibitors and business development partners.

Areas of discussion this year include outage readiness programs, more detailed and in-depth planning processes, contractor support strategies, and work management tactics and tools.

marcus evans welcomes back Roger Schaver, Manager Resource Management, Power Generation at We Energies for his 11th year, out of the 12 years, that marcus evans has run the very successful Outage Management for Power Plants Series. He will be speaking on “Analyzing Various Metric Tools and Performance Indicators to Improve Maintenance Planning Effectiveness”.

Roger Schaver has been a project engineer, manager of engineering and manager of maintenance in various We Energies facilities. He currently manages the team responsible for outage management and work management processes, use of SAP Plant Maintenance, and external craft labor processes and relationships.

Based off feedback from past delegates, to enhance planning and scheduling strategies and to improve outage efforts, this conference will be focusing on outage readiness programs and more in-depth, detailed outage planning. Hear from Peter Rogers, Overhaul Manager and Jon Lahti, Overhaul Superintendent from Xcel Energy in a joint case study, where they will walk through their outage planning steps from a macro point of view and how those steps tie together with specific projects.
