ABB publishes Coriolis flowmeter leaflet

June 6, 2013 - Eight-page full-color leaflet from ABB Measurement Products describes new CoriolisMaster FCB330/350 mass flowmeters for the upstream and midstream oil and gas industry. The leaflet notes that CoriolisMaster flowmeters offer high measuring accuracy, easy installation and handling, and a compact, space-saving design. The compact design minimizes installation space requirements.

The leaflet also says that these meters minimize lifetime costs, pressure drops, and maintenance. Aside from mass and volumetric flow rates, these meters also measure fluid density, temperature, and concentration. The leaflet covers such additional attributes as:

  • No requirements for up and downstream pipe runs.
  • No gas accumulation regardless of meter orientation.
  • Enhanced algorithms for minimizing multiphase sensitivity.

Oil and gas applications mentioned in the leaflet are net oil measurement, production and test separators, natural gas and condensate, production water density, LACT units; dynamic dump cycles, and pipeline metering. The leaflet concludes with data on nominal sizes, approvals, communication, and accuracy specifications.
