ABB signs three-year strategic agreement with Unipetrol

Prague, Czech Republic, April 21, 2003- ABB, the leading power and technology group has signed a three- year frame agreement for the delivery of products and services with Unipetrol a.s.

The agreement comprises the delivery of automation instruments including control systems, protection systems, high to low voltage systems, motors & drives, and instrumentation.

"Signing this agreement is an important step forward in our long-term relationship with ABB and will clarify investment processes within the Unipetrol group," said Pavel Svarc, General Manager Unipetrol a.s. Unipetrol will save on spare parts as well as on new products and systems.

"The basis of this strategic agreement is high value pricing conditions where our customer will gain from the complete value of cost savings," said Jiri Veprek, Automation Technologies Division Manager Czech Republic.
