Beckhoff Automation Wins “Growth 50” Award for Twin Cities Private Companies
The Minneapolis-St.Paul Business Journal presents award to Beckhoff Automation for the company’s three-year revenue growth of 92.5 percent

MINNEAPOLIS, October 25, 2004 – After a three-year revenue increase of a sizzling 92.5 percent, Beckhoff Automation finished strong at number 22 in the Minneapolis-based Business Journal’s “Growth 50” list. Published October 22, 2004, this list recognizes the top 50 fastest-growing private companies headquartered in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area.

The competition was open to private companies across all industries and awards were given after The Business Journal’s accounting team verified company financial statements and revenue growth rates from 2001 to 2003. The top 50 list ranking was based entirely on revenue growth percentage.

“Beckhoff Automation is proud and honored to receive the Growth 50 award for private companies in the Minneapolis area,” says Graham Harris, President of Beckhoff Automation. ” Through the hard work of all Beckhoff employees in Minneapolis and across the U.S. and Canada, I believe we truly are on the fast track to even greater success in the motion control and automation markets as a Growth 50 company.”

Other results from Beckhoff’s rapidly accelerating growth include the move to a larger North American headquarters with 100 percent more warehousing space, the opening of a regional training and support facility near San Diego, Calif. and the addition of two regional sales offices in Atlanta and Austin, Texas. The company’s plans for 2005 include the addition of more regional sales offices to better meet high demand for products and support.

Beckhoff Automation provides advanced, open automation products based upon proven technologies so that customers can implement high performance control systems faster and at a lower overall cost than traditional PLC and motion control systems. Beckhoff’s “New Automation Technology” product range includes PC based control, industrial PCs, automation controllers, operator interface, I/O, servo drives and motors. With representation in 50 countries, Beckhoff is well positioned to provide global sales and service to its customers. Sales and service are handled directly, with no intermediaries involved to provide faster response and improved communications.
