B&R Introduces System 2003 with Celeron 300 for Complete Control or Remote I/O
B&R System 2003 – System Characteristics
The B&R System 2003 can be used as both a complete control system as well as a remote I/O system for the expansion of industrial PCs and controllers from all B&R System families (e.g. B&R System 2005, B&R Power Panels etc.). Distributed systems are also possible. Shorter reaction times and system expansion using a fieldbus are the highlights of this compact, cost-effective system.

New CP570 with Celeron 300
B&R System 2003 CPU’s cover a wide performance spectrum. The newly developed CP570 is an x86 based high performance CPU. This CPU is especially suitable for applications, where shorter cycle times are required, very large amounts of data need to be processed or when floating point calculations are necessary.

USB and 10/100 MBit Ethernet are integrated as a standard. Compact Flash Cards are used to store application programs and related data.

The outstanding technical features of the New CP570 can be summarized as follows:
  • Powerful x86-compatible CPU with an additional I/O processor
  • Fastest cycle time: 500 µs
  • Ethernet 10/100 MBit and USB
  • Compact Flash as removable application memory
  • Optional real-time Ethernet for Motion and I/O.

Automation StudioTM – B&R’s single Programming tool
B&R’s single programming tool Automation Studio is used to program the entire machine application (Soft PLC & CNC, PLC's, Drives, and HMI's). B&R Automation Studio supports IEC1131 languages as well as high level language capability (ANSI C, Automation Basic).
