Coastal Flow opens laboratory in Texas
March 1, 2012 - Coastal Flow Energy Labs opened a regional laboratory in La Vernia, Texas. Located in Wilson County within the greater San Antonio area, this facility has been strategically located to better serve the Eagle Ford Shale play and provides many of the same analytical capabilities, with strict GPA standards compliance, as Coastal Flow’s primary Houston area laboratory.
Long serving the Eagle Ford Shale region, Coastal Flow has been an industry leader in the measurement and analysis of hydrocarbon liquids and gas since its founding in 1974. The new laboratory will enable its Coastal Flow Energy Labs unit to provide faster, more cost-efficient chromatographic analysis of natural gas and NGLs (natural gas liquids) without any compromise in quality or accuracy, and further supports the company’s dramatic expansion of natural gas field services as well as hydrocarbon liquid measurement for their central and south Texas customers.
Stephen K. Whitman, President and CEO of the Coastal Flow Measurement Companies, said “Coastal Flow is proud to be one of the premier hydrocarbon measurement and testing companies that is so intimately involved with Eagle Ford Shale production.” Mr. Whitman added “Our local employees are exceptionally well qualified to carry out their duties and clearly dedicated to our customers’ success, allowing our organization to provide an outstanding service resource in support of the continued growth of this play.”
