Data Translation adds 64-Bit Support for Windows 7
June 15, 2010 – Data Translation announces software and hardware compatibility with Windows 7, the most recent operating system from Microsoft. 64-bit Windows drivers offer users an opportunity to experience the maximum performance capabilities of the latest data acquisition hardware with the added functionality of the Windows 7 operating system.

The user simply runs an installer and plugs in their Data Translation hardware. The corresponding 64-bit driver is then downloaded automatically and seamlessly, enabling the user to be up and running in Windows 7 in a matter of minutes. The drivers also support 32-bit Windows 7 and 32 or 64-bit Vista operating systems.

The optimization of additional computer memory, a key benefit when applications are written in a 64-bit operating system, provides greater efficiency for high performance data acquisition and analysis applications.

“The next generation of test and measurement systems requires ultra-high throughput and performance,” stated Fred Molinari, President and CEO. “Our 64-bit driver support allows scientists and engineers to achieve the ultimate results required in the most demanding applications.”
