Encoder Technology Introduces Optical Encoder for Large Motors
Encoder Technology announces the availability of an incremental encoder designed for applications with large motors. The HS0102-5000 encoder can accept shaft diameters up to 2.625” diameter. This encoder was specifically designed for feedback of overhead crane position and is suitable for reliable feedback when mounted on large shafts in most industrial applications.

The HS0102-5000 encoder is 6” in diameter and 2” high. The encoder resolution is 5000 counts per turn in quadrature so the signals can be multiplied by 4 if desired. This particular encoder has a –20 to +85 degree centigrade operating temperature range which can be expanded for other requirements.

The mechanical housing is normally supplied with a hard anodized finish and also includes an anti-rotation pin.

This robust encoder is based on Encoder Technology’s proven HD2.0 and HD2.5 product line, which has become the new industry standard for meeting stringent industrial and oil field equipment requirements.

Headquartered in at 30 N. Alamos Drive, Cottonwood, Arizona 86326, Encoder Technology designs, produces and markets, standard and custom Optical Encoders for use in Light Rail, Wind Power, Food Processing, and other extreme duty and volatile applications.
