FKI Logistex experts discuss trends in material handling at ProMat

Three seminars at the ProMat 2007 Knowledge Center will cover European material handling trends, automated replenishment, and order fulfillment

(St. Louis, Missouri, USA: December 22, 2006) FKI Logistex will sponsor three seminars at the ProMat 2007 Educational Conference, held January 8-11 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois. FKI Logistex subject matter experts will present on-show-floor seminars to discuss trends in European material handling, automated replenishment technology, and the integration of order fulfillment methods and technologies into a DC.

The ProMat Educational Conference, which is free to all registered show attendees, uses a unique combination of exhibition and education to give participants an edge in understanding, applying and maximizing material handling solutions. The industry-focused, 45-minute seminars will take place in the ProMat 2007 Knowledge Center in specially designed theaters on the show floor.

Hubacek and Chervin offer insight into the array of order picking techniques, such as traditional picking and putting, "pick and pass," and cluster picking. The discussion highlights the technologies available to enhance the execution of these fulfillment functions at any distribution center.
