Seasoned management team to lead new customer-facing divisions

(St. Louis, MO: July 06, 2004) FKI Logistex® (www.fkilogistex.com), a leading supplier of integrated material handling solutions, announces the appointment of three senior executives to its North American management team, naming them as presidents of its new customer-facing divisions.

The appointments, made by Steve Ackerman, president of FKI Logistex North America, are: Dave Baker to president of the FKI Logistex Manufacturing Systems Division; John Kelly to president of the FKI Logistex Airport, Post & Parcel Division; and John Westendorf to president of the FKI Logistex Warehouse & Distribution Division. All three positions report directly to Ackerman.

Baker has held various positions at FKI Logistex Alvey Systems over the past 15 years, most recently as the Chief Financial Officer of the company's Alvey Systems, White Systems, and Cleco Systems, Inc. groups. In his new assignment, Baker will be responsible for driving the growth of the company's manufacturing market presence. Baker holds a BS in civil engineering from the University of Missouri and an MBA from Southern Illinois University.

Kelly has over 19 years experience with the FKI plc group of companies, most recently as president of the company's FKI Logistex Crisplant Inc. and LogiLearn units. In his new position, Kelly will manage the company's continuing expansion in the airport, post and parcel markets. Kelly began his career in auditing and accounting in the FKI U.S. corporate headquarters, later joining its Bristol Babcock unit as manager of financial reporting. In 1995, he was promoted to division controller of Mathews Conveyer. Kelly holds a BS in accounting from the University of Connecticut.

Westendorf, a four-year veteran of FKI Logistex, moves into his new role from his current position as CEO of the company's Automation Division. Westendorf will now direct the company's efforts in providing total system solutions for the warehouse and distribution markets. Prior to joining FKI Logistex, Westendorf held senior international sales and management positions within Rockwell International, BTR plc, and Invensys plc. Westendorf holds a BS in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech University.

"I look forward to working with Dave Baker, John Kelly, and John Westendorf to drive FKI Logistex North America to the next level," said Ackerman. "With these new appointments and our new customer-facing divisions in place, we have the organizational structure to increase customer satisfaction and promote profitability and growth."
