Fluid Components International (FCI) announces registration open for Product Knowledge Workshop

August 20, 2019 — Fluid Components International (FCI) announced that registration is open for its next free customer training Product Knowledge Workshop, which will take place on October 15-16 in San Marcos, California. This workshop is designed to provide customers training on FCI thermal dispersion mass flow meters, flow switches, and level switches.
The classes will include the first live training for the recently announced ST80 Series Thermal Flow Meter with Adaptive Sensor Technology (AST) featuring a hybrid sensor drive. This patent-pending measuring technique combines both of the constant power (CP) and constant temperature (CT) thermal dispersion sensing technologies in the same instrument.
When operating in AST mode, the ST80 Flow Meters measure in CT during start-up and through the lower flow ranges, and will then shift into CP mode at mid-range and higher flow rates.
Complementing this measurement drive technique are a choice of four different flow sensor element designs to further ensure performance, including FCI’s wet gas solution. These meters also incorporate FCI’s no-moving parts flow element design, which provides direct mass flow measurement with a single process penetration.
Interest lists are now also being formed for future classes in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. The classes, accommodations, refreshments and lunch are at no charge at FCI’s corporate office in San Marcos, California.
