FMH Promotes Marc Moore to Senior Sales Engineer

November 17, 2010 - FMH promoted Marc Moore to Senior Sales Engineer.

Moore, who was hired at FMH last June, will implement the company’s growth strategies along with newly appointed President Nick Thomey.

“I’m passionate about improving products for our customers,” Moore says. “Everything begins and ends with helping them develop the solutions they need.”

Moore arrives at an opportune time for FMH. This fall, the company moved into a new 34,000 square-foot facility in Fridley that it shares with FPD Power Development, a power plant electrical construction consultant and developer. Both companies were previously located in St. Anthony.

“We continue to build an energized team for exciting times,” says FMH Chief Executive Officer Robert J. Meyers. “Marc’s background and proven capabilities are exactly what we need to take advantage of the opportunities that have presented themselves.”

Moore points to the utility sector and military markets as two areas that FMH has targeted for immediate growth. FMH has worked previously with the Department of Defense, most recently building control systems for the USS New York, an amphibious transport ship that is constructed from more than 7 tons of steel from the World Trade Center. FMH helped manage various ship systems, including ammunition lift platforms, weapons elevators, vertical conveyors and well deck doors.

Moore came to FMH with four years of experience in the aerospace industry as a manufacturing engineer, research and development engineer, and a director of new business development. Before that, he spent seven years as a project manager in the electrical contracting industry for commercial construction. Among the projects he has led is the development of a new concept in air data probes for Lockheed Martin Skunk Works.

Moore graduated from Montana State University with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering technology.
