HEIDENHAIN Ranked No. 1 in a CNC Controllers Survey

SCHAUMBURG, IL (December 2005) – In a 2005 U.S. survey of design engineers, HEIDENHAIN Corporation was recently selected as the company with “the most positive impression” in the area of CNC Controllers. HEIDENHAIN surfaced at the very top of a list of 13 CNC manufacturers within a document titled “The Motion Controllers 2005 Brand Recognition Report”*.

“HEIDENHAIN is a pioneer in the area of CNC controls,” said Rick Korte, president, HEIDENHAIN, North America, “especially as it relates to the development of friendly shop floor programmable machines. Recent emphasis has pushed us to the forefront of the industry as we are proven leaders in the area of high speed and in five-axis control technology. This survey is just another indication of our market leadership here.”

The report is a result of two thousand surveys sent out to a variety of U.S. design engineers last August. An over 18.7% return rate was realized.

HEIDENHAIN CORPORATION is the North American subsidiary of DR. JOHANNES HEIDENHAIN GmbH, a leading international manufacturer of precision measurement and control equipment. The product line includes linear scales, rotary and angular encoders, digital readouts, digital length gages, CNC controls and machine inspection equipment.
