IOActive adds two Industrial Security experts
July 22, 2014 – IOActive, announced that Bradford Hegrat has joined the company as industrial services director, and that Jason Larsen has joined the company as a principal security consultant.
The additions of Hegrat and Larsen increase the company’s ability to meet the global need for industrial security expertise. These appointments will help ensure that IOActive continues to deliver high-quality services to its Industrial Control Systems (ICS) customers as they face new threats to their organisations.

Hegrat will continue to develop and grow the industrial security practice for IOActive’s Americas region. He brings a wealth of industrial security testing and advisory experience to IOActive from Rockwell Automation, where he provided enterprise leadership as the chief security advisor. Hegrat also served as the business manager for Rockwell’s product security initiatives as well as the global sales and delivery manager and senior principal security consultant for its security practice.
Larsen joins IOActive from Idaho National Labs (INL), where he performed security assessments of the software and hardware that runs the planet’s critical infrastructure systems. Over his tenure at INL, he conducted many full-scope assessments of the major global control systems’ vendors. Larsen has long been considered a pre-eminent authority and pioneer for industrial security technology and research.
