Nematron’s OpenView HMI/SCADA software is a powerful set of tools that allow advanced HMI (Human Machine Interface), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) and Web Server applications to be built. OpenView Machine Edition is designed to support machine level PC-based HMI for PLC’s and PC-based control applications. Application development is done on a PC with Microsoft Windows NT, 2000, or XP and these applications run on Windows CE, NT, 2000 or NT operating system runtime environments. OpenView Machine Edition can also be used as a monitoring and control system for small processes. Key features of OpenView Machine Edition include alarming, reports, recipes, trending, data logging, and OPC Client & Server modules with a built-in OPC tag browser. A wide range of communication drivers are available. OpenView conforms to industry standards including Microsoft DNA, OPC, DDE, ODBC (ODBC is not supported by Windows CE.NET at this time), XML, SOAP and ActiveX. Included with OpenView is Symbol Factory 2.0 for Windows CE.NET runtime environments, with Symbol Factory ActiveX also included for Windows NT/2000/XP runtime environments. Symbol Factory, a product of Software Toolbox, provides over 4,000 high quality graphic representations of process equipment, machinery, tanks, motors, valves, all designed to enable development of engaging, effective operator displays.

Nematron’s PowerView/CE Family is competitively priced, with prices starting at $495 for the PV-606S-32 and $595 for the PV-606S-64. The PV-606S-32 & PV-606S-64 is available for orders, with anticipated availability of the PV-608S and PV-612T beginning in late 3rd quarter 2003.
