ORMEC Appoints Edward J. Krasnicki New CEO
ORMEC is pleased to announce that effective Monday, October 21, Edward J. Krasnicki, Ph.D. has been appointed as President & Chief Executive Officer. His proven experience managing technology companies and moving them to market driven and customer responsive organizations led to his selection for this position.

In his new role, Dr. Krasnicki will assist ORMEC in developing and implementing the company’s strategic direction. ORMEC recently introduced ServoWire SM, a new approach to “soft motion” control that reduces the cost and complexity of open PC-based motion control solutions. This new technology combines PC hardware and software standards, soft motion technology and IEEE-1394 (Firewire) motion networking. ORMEC has a 20-year history of providing high performance motion control products to the automation marketplace.

Before joining ORMEC, Dr. Krasnicki served as Group President for the Automation and Motion Control Group at IMC, Buffalo, NY and President at Moog Controls, Inc., East Aurora, NY.

Dr. Krasnicki began his career as a mechanical engineer with a BSME from the University of Connecticut, earned an MSME in Design & Controls at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, and was awarded a Ph.D. in System Dynamics & Controls from the University of California, Davis. He received executive education with programs at The Wharton School, California Institute of Technology, and UNC.
