Parvalux moves drive manufacturing to Bournemouth, UK

March 16, 2009 - Parvalux relocated EMD Drive Systems’ manufacturing and administrative operations from Halstead to the company’s main site at Wallisdown in Bournemouth; trading from the Halstead site officially ceased on the 13th March 2009.

All EMD systems, processes and production lines are now back up and running, and EMD staff are experiencing business as usual in their new surroundings.

With sufficient space at Parvalux’s main site on the south coast, co-location was considered the logical option after a number of factors necessitated a strategic review of the business: the opportunity to combine a number of key administrative functions and leverage efficiencies; the expiry of the Halstead site lease in 2010; and the onset of unpredictable trading conditions following the collapse of the global banking industry in September 2008.

To coincide with the move Parvalux have made a number of internal leadership appointments to enable the business to begin sharing best-practice and identify cost-saving and process synergies where possible.
