Phoenix Contact Introduces Ethernet I/O with Embedded Switch Technology
Harrisburg, Pa. - A new INLINE block style I/O module with a built-in Ethernet switch provides up to a 50% reduction in total installed cost and size when compared to solutions combining a switch and I/O module as individual components. The ILB ETH 24 DI 16 DIO 16 – 2TX is the latest addition to Phoenix Contact’s INLINE Block I/O family and features two unmanaged 10/100 Mbps RJ45 ports, 16 digital inputs and 16 channels that can be used for inputs or outputs.

Two RJ45 ports allow the direct connection of the switch to an Ethernet network with the second port available for a separate Ethernet device. A built-in web server enables simple remote configuration of the Ethernet ports and monitoring of the module diagnostics and I/O status. Supported Ethernet connections include Modbus TCP (up to 8 connections), OPC and XML polling (read access only). SNMP and BootP services enable remote configuration and diagnostic messaging. The compact single module design offers easy installation in distributed control panels or control cabinet doors.

Phoenix Contact Inc. Quality System is registered to ISO 9001: 2000 – Quality Systems Model for Quality Assurance in design, development, production, installation and servicing.
