Process Control Industry Leader Chris Uehlinger Dies
President and Chief Operating Officer of PAS Passes Away Suddenly

Houston, TX – July 25, 2005 – Chris Uehlinger, 49, president and chief operating officer of PAS and a respected member of the process control community for many years, passed away unexpectedly July 20th, 2005.

At PAS, Uehlinger helped grow the company and provided leadership and technology vision with a tremendous ability to grasp and communicate technological concepts to a wide variety of audiences.

Before joining PAS in 2000, Uehlinger served as senior vice president of global business solutions for Honeywell Process Solutions, where he was an employee for 14 years. He began his career as an engineer with Celanese Chemicals in Bishop, Texas. Uehlinger graduated from Texas A&I University in Kingsville, Texas, with a bachelor’s degree in engineering.

“Chris was an exceptional leader and strategic thinker, as well as a personal friend,” said Eddie Habibi, founder and CEO of PAS. “We will miss him greatly, especially his qualities of generosity and kindness.” PAS has executed its business transition plan. Eddie Habibi will assume Uehlinger’s globalization responsibilities until further notice, while sales will be managed by Mark Shisler, Americas sales director, and the Advanced Process Controls and Optimization business unit will be managed by Vic Rice, vice president.

Uehlinger is survived by his beloved wife, Tracy, three children and five grandchildren.

Prayer services (rosary) will be held on Monday, July 25th, 7:30 p.m. at Earthman Resthaven Chapel, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas (Ph 218-443-0063). Funeral services will be held at the same chapel at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 26th, followed immediately by burial in the cemetery.
