Schneider Electric Names Gravitt VP Industrial Automation and Control

PALATINE, Ill. — NOVEMBER 22, 2005 — The Schneider Electric North American Operating Division today announced Andy Gravitt will assume the role of vice president of industrial automation and control. Gravitt will be responsible for growing the industrial automation and control business of the Schneider Electric North American Operating Division.

Andy will play an instrumental role in making this happen," said David Petratis, CEO and president of the Schneider Electric North American Operating Division. Gravitt has 13 years of experience with Schneider Electric's North American Operating Division. He joined the company in 1992 as general manager of the Retail Products Division, where he was accountable for sales of Square D® products to the retail channel, including marketing, pricing and distribution. Gravitt then became director, residential marketing, where his responsibilities included marketing and product management of the Residential Division, focusing on the retail, wholesale and catalog channels. He then served as vice president of the residential sales segment. During his four years in this role, the residential segment experienced significant growth. Gravitt also served as vice president of the OEM sales segment, where he was responsible for all Schneider Electric products sold through distributors and direct. Under his leadership, the OEM segment has produced a 15 percent to 20 perc ent annual growth rate. Gravitt most recently served as vice president of customer operations and process improvement.
