LOGAN, UT -- Scientific Technologies Inc. (STI), Automation Products Group, introduces two new US Self-contained Ultrasonic Sensor models for sanitary applications. These maintenance free ultrasonic sensors, DCU1632 and DCU1633 provide a sensing range of 0.3 ft. (100mm) to 6 ft. (2m) and 0.6 ft. (220mm) to 25 ft. (8m) respectively. Both models work on solids or liquids and feature internal temperature compensation as standard.

These easy-to-install sensors offer a stainless steel face and have a 2" or a 3" tri-clamp type flange. The small and compact US-Sanitary sensors are serial interface programmable with free software for Windows, DOS or Palm operating systems. They feature 4-20mA and RS-232 outputs, and free AutoSense software for automatic adjustment of sensors settings.

US-Sanitary sensors provide a non-contact method of detecting flow, presence, level, volume, proximity and distance measurements, which makes them ideal for a variety of applications. These sensors meet sanitary requirements of the International Dairymen's Association 3A standard. Dairy, dairy products, beverage, food, pharmaceutical and bio-medical industries require adherence to this standard.

STI has been selected twice by Forbes and three times by Business Week as one of the "world's best small companies." STI's Automation Products Group serves the factory automation, semiconductor, transportation, oil and gas, consumer and food processing industries with a diversified offering of sensing technologies. Products include level, flow, pressure sensing, positioning transducers, vehicle separation, profiling and ultrasonic sensors and controls.
