ATLANTA, Nov. 7, 2006 - Through the introduction of its new SIMATICR IT Business Unit, Siemens Energy & Automation, Inc. has become the first company to offer its customers a single-source solution for every manufacturing software need - from the plant floor to the executive office.

Based in Aliso Viejo, Calif., Siemens' new business unit combines the expertise of the company's MES group with the Manufacturing Intelligence capabilities of IndX, a software company acquired by Siemens in 2003.
