Siemens LOGO! Power Supply Line Now Offers 24 VDC / 4 AMP Model

April 212005
ATLANTA (April 21, 2005) – Siemens Energy & Automation has expanded its popular line of modular, compact, and affordable LOGO! power supplies to include a 24 VDC / 4 amp model. The new model delivers up to 96 watts of power in a space-saving, 90mm-wide housing.

The addition compliments Siemens 24 VDC offering, introduced one year ago in 1.3 amp and 2.5 amp output currents. LOGO! power supplies also come with output voltages of 5, 12, and 15 VDC. Depending on the output current, the width of the housing is either 54mm or 72mm.

“The LOGO! power line has experienced incredible worldwide success because it gives OEMs affordable and compact options when choosing a miniature power supply,” said Kai Bronzel, Siemens SITOP marketing manager. “We expect the new model to be equally well received because it offers these same benefits, but in another power and housing option.”

All LOGO! power supplies have a wide input range from, 85 to 264 VAC. The models are designed to operate in -20 degree C to +55 degree C, suitable for most operating environments.

A standard green LED operating status indicator, and a potentiometer to adjust the output voltage, are conveniently positioned on the front of the modules.

The integrated power boost function allows the use of high inrush loads such as DC/DC converters and motors.

All LOGO! power supplies are CE, UL / cUL, GL and FM certified. Certain units are also ABS approved.
