Sola/Hevi-Duty Offers Configurable Power Supply That Enables Wide Range of Custom Variations
ROSEMONT, IL, October 13, 2003 — In a move to further extend its leadership in the Power Supply marketplace, Sola/Hevi-Duty is now offering OEM customers a cost-effective, flexible alternative to traditional power supply designs.

The Sola/Hevi-Duty SMP Series is a line of medium power, modular chassis mount AC-DC power supplies that are easy to customize for unusual voltage and power combinations.

Available with power ratings of 250, 350, 450, 600 and 1000W, the power supplies feature power factor corrected inputs, an end mounted fan for cooling, a variety of built-in signals and controls, and are capable of up to 12 independent outputs with voltages choices from 3.3 to 48 VDC.

SMP Series power supplies are optimized for component level applications in automated service equipment, semiconductor fabrication equipment, industrial computers and electronic test tools. Multiple signal options make the supplies easy to integrate in more complex systems.

Also contributing to the success of the SMP Series is a compact footprint and low profile. The SMP Series SM2, for example, has dimensions of only 1.68 x 4 x 9.65 (inches) to facilitate quick installation.

Connector choices are screw terminals or Molex Type, and overvoltage and overcurrent protection is incorporated. They are certified to the relevant UL, CE and CSA safety standards.
