Spectrum Controls Announces Membership with HART Communications Foundation

Partnership will enhance Spectrum Controls’ new emerging HART product line

March 11, 2003—Bellevue, Washington—Spectrum Controls, Inc., a leading manufacturer of hardware and software for the industrial controls marketplace, is pleased to announce their membership with the HART Communications Foundation (HCF), an independent, global, non-profit organization that provides worldwide support for application of the HART Protocol.

The affiliation with HCF will further enhance Spectrum Controls’ new emerging product line, including the new Analog I/O Modules with HART Protocol. These new modules provide full analog capability and the added benefit of HART (highway addressable remote transducer) Protocol in just one I/O module. The Analog I/O Modules with HART Protocol maximize I/O performance by combining real-time HART data acquisition in conjunction with standard analog acquisition and control.

“Our expertise in I/O, coupled with the added benefit of HART, provides a powerful tool for process automation,” said Bruce Wanta, president of Spectrum Controls. “Previously, obtaining HART data was often difficult and expensive. Now, with our new Analog I/O Modules with HART Protocol, acquiring analog and HART data has never been easier.”
