STI--Maintenance-free Ultrasonic Sensors Provide 32 Ft. Sensing Range
LOGAN, UT – Scientific Technologies, Inc., Automation Products Group, introduces their easy-to-install US32 Self Contained Ultrasonic Sensors. These reliable ultrasonic sensors provide a sensing range from 1 ft. (0.3 m) to 32 ft. (10 m), work on solids or liquids, and feature analog, digital and trip point outputs. Additionally, they are user adjustable and serial interface programmable with free software for Windows, DOS or Palm operating systems.

STI's AutoSense software and internal temperature compensation factor in and eliminate variables such as ambient temperature, waves on a liquid, tank irregularities, agitators, and humidity. This allows for incredibly accurate flow, presence, level, volume, proximity and distance measurements in a variety of applications. US32 ultrasonic sensors are not affected by target surface, color or translucency, and they function extremely well in harsh environments. When monitoring liquids, they are not affected by changes in dielectric constant, specific gravity, or viscosity.

STI has been selected twice by Forbes and three times by Business Week as one of the “world’s best small companies.” STI’s Automation Products Group serves the factory automation, semiconductor, transportation, oil and gas, consumer and food processing industries with a diversified offering of sensing technologies. Products include level, flow, pressure sensing, positioning transducers, vehicle separation, profiling and ultrasonic sensors and controls.
