UNOVA Names Tom Miller President of Intermec Technologies

EVERETT, Wash., March. 15, 2004 - UNOVA Inc. (NYSE:UNA) today announced Tom Miller has been named president of Intermec Technologies Corp., which comprises UNOVA's Automated Data Systems division. Miller, who formerly served as Intermec executive vice president responsible for global sales and marketing, succeeds Larry D. Brady, who for the past three years served in the dual roles of UNOVA chief executive and Intermec president. Brady continues his UNOVA leadership as chairman, chief executive officer and president.

In addition, Intermec Senior Vice president Steve Winter has been named executive vice president, reporting to Miller. Miller and Winter are UNOVA vice presidents.

Miller has led Intermec's worldwide field sales operations and global marketing since 2001. Prior to that, he served as senior vice president of Intermec's Systems and Solutions group, responsible for the company's mobile computing, wireless infrastructure and data capture groups, as well as product development, market development, product and industry marketing and manufacturing operations. Miller, who holds a master's degree in business administration from Western Illinois University, was senior vice president of Norand Corp. when Norand was acquired by Intermec in 1997.

Winter previously was responsible for Intermec's global network of service and support operations, as well as its intellectual property management strategy. He now adds responsibility for sales, product development, marketing, operations, RFID (radio frequency identification) and the company's Media division.

Since joining Intermec in 1977, Winter has held numerous senior management positions, including vice president of European operations. He holds a master's degree in business administration from the University of Washington and a bachelor of science degree in electronic engineering technology.
