Weidmuller Expands its Low-Cost Leaf Spring Screw Clamp Connection Line
RICHMOND, VA (April 16, 2002) – For cost-effective, compact wiring solutions, Weidmuller introduces the PM 5.00 PCB terminal block. A fit-for-purpose option for high volume commercial applications such as security systems and garage door openers, the PM 5.00 features the simple but reliable “Leaf Spring” screw clamp clamping mechanism that reduces the product cost as well as the product size: only 10 mm by 8 mm of space is used by this terminal. This slim design is a great benefit for applications where space is at a premium.

The 2 and 3 pole modular design of the PM 5.00 allows the blocks to be quickly and easily dovetailed together to produce higher pole number assemblies – up to 24 poles can be utilized with this method, while maintaining a true 5.00 mm pitch. Available in two colors, orange and black, the economical PM 5.00 is UL rated for 300 V and 16 A.
