Wieland Electric Introduces Industrial Multipole Connectors with Motor Connecting Housing
BURGAW, N.C. (August 15, 2003) – Wieland Electric, Inc. now offers a solution for the pluggable connection of motors and engines with the introduction of an industrial multipole connector with a motor connecting housing. This angled, die cast aluminum rectangular housing substitutes for the conventional motor junction plate with threaded bolts and feeder clamps. Additionally, due to the symmetrical mounting holes, the housing can be rotated freely in 90-degree steps.

The motor connecting housing can be used with all 10 pole contact inserts; screw, spring and crimp connection technology. The compact and space saving design of the industrial rectangular connector allows for quick and easy replacement of motors. After motor replacement, there is no need to check direction of rotation. This industrial connector also makes the use of preassembled cable possible.

The revos motor connecting housing is designed for motors up to 7.5 kW and has a rated voltage of 600V. As well as other rectangular multipole connectors in the revos product range, this motor connecting housing is made of die cast aluminum alloy with the surface powder coated RAL 7037. The locking lever is a zinc plated steel, the gasket is neoprene material with a temperature range of -40°C + 110°C. It has a protection rating of IP 65 in accordance to DIN 40050.
