Larson Electronics releases EPFDS-400A-3P explosion-proof fusible disconnect switch

June 17, 2019 - Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of an explosion-proof 400-amp fusible disconnect switch/breaker in a cast aluminum enclosure for overcurrent and short circuit protection of service entrances, lighting, heating, and more. This unit is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2 and features a 3-pole configuration with a maximum rating of 600V AC.
The EPFDS-400A-3P explosion-proof fusible disconnect switch features two 3-inch NPT hubs on the top and one 0.5-inch NPT hub on the bottom for completing connections to the disconnect switch. This unit is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups C and D; Class I, Zones 1 and 2, Groups IIB and IIA; Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F and G; and Class III hazardous locations. This unit is made of cast aluminum with stainless-steel cover bolts.
Larson Electronics’ explosion-proof fusible disconnect has an external On/Off lever that can be locked into the "On" or "Off" position, with room for up to three padlocks for added security. A gasketed flange with O-ring provides protection from moisture. This 3-pole, 400-amp unit offers a 600-volt maximum electrical rating and is suitable for refineries, chemical plants, storage facilities and more.
