Intergraph will integrate SmartPlant Enterprise with the PAS Integrity/DOC4000 to provide plant owners with a consolidated view of their control infrastructure.
Pilot implementations of SmartPlant Enterprise will be conducted in Air Liquide engineering centers in France and the United States. The overall deployment will then be extended to the company's centers in China, Japan and India.
Intergraph Corporation today announced the commencement of the company's new flagship international users conference, Intergraph 2006, June 13-15 at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. In its inaugural year, the conference will host more than 2,000 attendees from over 60 countries.
Traditionally, integration between the engineering technical services at a plant and operations or maintenance has been ad-hoc at best, even nonexistent in many cases. Applications like SmartPlant Instrumentation have solidified that integration in the instrumentation domain, resulting in reduced costs in engineering as well as operations and maintenance through better information access and management.

Following the adoption and successful use of Smartplant 3D, CEAB is moving to standardize on Intergraphs entire SmartPlant portfolio under a three year global agreement. Once fully deployed CEAB will be able to further cut schedules, boost productivity and increase engineering quality across its world wide engineering enterprise.
Under the terms of the agreement, Sony will make a one-time, up-front royalty payment of $15 million. Intergraph expects to record after-tax intellectual property income from this agreement of approximately $8.6 million, net of all fees, expenses and estimated taxes, in the first quarter of 2006. As a result of the patent license agreement, Sony will obtain a fully paid-up worldwide license to Intergraphs patent portfolio, and Intergraph will obtain an option to license certain Sony patents on royalty-bearing terms.
The integrated engineering environment, including SmartPlant 3D, will be deployed across the company to integrate engineering and analysis, modeling and design, materials management and project implementation, and information management for their Advanced CANDU Reactors (ACR-1000). The ACR-1000 is an evolutionary, Generation III+, 1200 MWe class pressure tube reactor, designed to meet industry and public expectations for safe, reliable, environmentally friendly and low-cost nuclear generation.
Intergraph Corporation today announced that Bateman Engineering N.V. (Bateman) has chosen to standardize on Intergraphs SmartPlant® Enterprise to replace its existing AVEVA PDMS design tool. The agreement, made through Intergraph distributor Intergraph Systems Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd., will form the foundation for a more data-centric and integrated plant design modeling environment.
Intergraph Corporation announced that the American Red Cross presented the Company with the Circle of Humanitarian Award, the organization's highest award honoring financial assistance, for its support of disaster relief efforts in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. ÅF-Process AB has signed a five-year, multi-million-dollar Software License Agreement to standardize on Intergraph software. Under the agreement, ÅF-Process AB is migrating from existing legacy systems and standardizing on Intergraphs integrated engineering environment, SmartPlant® Enterprise, through an engineering portal solution to be deployed across the entire ÅF Process division.
