March 3, 2015 - The entire Deutschmann Automation UNIGATE series for Profinet is now certified according to Profinet specifications.
The certified Profinet gateway program includes:
- UNIGATE CM gateway CANopen – Profinet with an integrated CAN master
- Ethernet/Profinet gateway UNIGATE EL – Profinet
- UNIGATE MB Modbus – Profinet
- UNIGATE CX Profinet 2 port series for CANopen/CAN layer 2, DeviceNET, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, Fast EtherNet, LON, MPI, and PROFIBUS DP.
With Deutschmann Automation gateways and protocol converters, automation specialists save considerable time and effort on development and the adaptation of device firmware to Profinet. UNIGATE ICs are designed as embedded solutions for direct integration in terminal devices. UNIGATE CL modules are installed on top-hat rails in their own housing. The 2-port protocol converters with conformance class B and the Profinet gateways include a communication processor with PriorityChannel Technology, guaranteeing stable Profinet connections even under high network loads or during ARP broadcast storms. Both converter types allow for an optional translation of the terminal device's protocol via script, which can be compiled with the gratis PC tool Protocol Converter. No firmware changes are necessary.
Based in Bad Camberg, Deutschmann Automation has been providing automation components for more than three decades. Since 1996, the manufacturer of electronic cam controls has been developing industrial communication products. Key products include gateways for Fieldbus and Industrial Ethernet communication, development tools, and single-chip solutions which enable easy integration of Fieldbus and Industrial Ethernet interfaces into user applications. Deutschmann’s products support all standard communication systems, such as CANopen, DeviceNet, Profibus, LonWorks, Modbus RTU and MPI as well as EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, Profinet, and Modbus TCP/IP.
