Honeywell provides control systems to China containerboard maker
Nine Dragons is Chinas largest containerboard maker and produces a wide range of high-quality packaging paperboard products such as linerboard, which is used to make corrugated cartons. The company currently operates mills in Dongguan and Taicang, located in southern and eastern China, respectively.
Experion can unify operations by integrating subsystems throughout a manufacturing plant to improve production quality. It keeps processes running at optimum levels and provides operators meaningful information they need to make decisions. In paper mills, Experion can be used to control systems such as paper production lines from a single operator station. Nine Dragons Experion system will include more than 27,000 input/output points across all three mills.
Additionally, Honeywell is providing Nine Dragons 10 Da Vinci 4000 scanners that precisely measure paper quality using a suite of online sensors. The system can provide quality data, process information, historical trending and statistical analysis, among other features.
We are proud to continue our relationship with Nine Dragons as they grow rapidly. Meeting a growing demand means more than increasing production, said Andrew Hird, Asia-Pacific Director for Pulp and Paper, Honeywell Process Solutions. It is not enough to simply make more of a product manufacturers must ensure quality doesnt fall as production volume rises. Technology like Experion is designed to streamline production, while systems like Da Vinci ensure customers receive top-of-the-line quality.
