Invensys to help design security program for PCSF annual meeting

FOXBORO, MASSACHUSETTS, USA - January 15, 2007 - At the request of members of the Process Control Systems Forum (PCSF) Governing Board, Ernest Rakaczky, cyber security program director at Invensys Process Systems, will once again be part of the Design Team for the PCSF Annual Meeting, to be held March 6-8th, 2007 in Atlanta, Georgia. PCSF was established to accelerate the overall security of control systems worldwide through cross-sector collaboration. It is one of several user and vendor forums sponsored by the US Department of Homeland Security.

This third Annual Meeting will provide end-users with tactical and strategic solutions to their most pressing control system security concerns and help match solution seekers with solution providers. To this end, Mr. Rakaczky and the rest of the Design Team are tasked with developing an agenda that will both address an effective forum for control system security information exchange and present a set of implemented security solutions within the User Community. For the first time, the agenda for this meeting will be formulated based on surveys completed by those who will be attending the meeting.

About the Process Control Systems Forum
The PCSF is an open, collaborative, voluntary forum that leverages the combined experience, capabilities, and contributions of control systems stakeholders to develop and adopt common architectures, protocols, standards, best practices, and to define common requirements. The PCSF is sponsored by The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) National Cyber Security Division (NCSD) Control Systems Security Program (CSSP).

The PCSF supports CSSP's mission to focus collaborative efforts of public, private, and international entities to secure control systems cyberspace in support of the National Infrastructure Protection Plan.
