Kepware supplies communications to Serck Controls

August 13, 2008 - Kepware Technologies was selected as the primary provider of manufacturing oriented device communications by Serck Controls Inc.

Serck Controls is a leading SCADA and Telemetry systems engineering company that provides both products and services. While they offer some of their own protocols to address the special needs of their vertical markets, Serck Controls also recognizes the need for connectivity to the widest possible set of protocols for the benefit of their customers. As such, Serck Controls has chosen to be “Connected with Kepware;” licensing Kepware Protocols for use with their SCADA software solutions. The “Connected with Kepware” designation signifies an ongoing partnership with Serck Controls to ensure they are aware of upcoming technology and will stay current with Kepware developments.

“Serck Controls will apply our communications in the area of Water, Oil and Gas, Power and Utilities, Process Control and Safety Systems all around the world,” says Roy Kok, VP of Sales and Marketing for Kepware. “It is rewarding to see that Kepware communication protocols will add value to a significant player in these vertical markets.”

"The ability to connect with virtually any equipment we might encounter at a customer site is a requirement of our business. In the past, we have developed protocols for many RTU applications. While this meets the immediate needs for our clients and the particular projects, maintaining and supporting these protocol drivers does present support issues,” explains David Bowerman, General Manager Business Development of Serck Controls Ltd. “The support costs and the ever expanding connectivity requirements of our clients had led us to look to an organization that was a leader in connectivity products. Our research showed that Kepware is a quality partner and that they can be relied on to remain current with technology and will deliver the connectivity we need, now and into the future.”
