Metso Automation to supply automation to Petrobras refinery
The modernization project is a major expansion of the existing distributed control systems (DCS ) installed in Petobras REVAP refinery. It will add more than 20,000 wired process input/output (I/O) interfaces to the existing system. The aim of the project is to meet new environmental specifications for the gasoline, as demanded by the Brazilian government.
REVAP refinery's main products are gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, LPG, asphalt and sulfur. The refinery is located at São José dos Campos, São Paulo.
