SigmaQuest supplies QC software to Vocera Communications

SUNNYVALE, Calif., August 7, 2007 - SigmaQuest announced that Vocera Communications, Inc., an industry leader in wireless communication, has selected SigmaQuest’s on-demand solutions to manage product performance, outsource manufacturing, ensure process enforcement and facilitate regulatory compliance.

Vocera purchased a suite of SigmaQuest products including: Manufacturing and Test Insight, which continuously monitors manufacturing chain product quality; and RMA & Warranty Insight, to analyze product return data, track trends and get to the root cause of all issues, in real time. Through the suite of on-demand solutions, Vocera can easily collect, aggregate and analyze detailed production and test information from its own product test labs in the U.S., as well as at its global contract manufacturers. Further, with SigmaQuest’s SigmaSure real-time dashboard, Vocera can gain real-time visibility into performance trends and issues, should they occur, to quickly recognize where and when a product or process improvement should be made.

Vocera Communications is leveraging SigmaQuest’s software for managing the development of the Vocera Communications Badge, the hardware piece of the Vocera Communications System, which integrates cutting-edge Wi-Fi, voice over IP (VoIP) and speech-recognition technology in order to provide expedient communication for mobile workers in mission-critical environments, such as hospitals. The hands-free, lightweight, and wearable Badge enables wearers to communicate with colleagues over a wireless LAN using simple voice commands. Mobile workers can access the resources and people needed to complete tasks more rapidly than through other means of communication.

With this model, customers also get 24x7 support, better ease of use, high security, and rapid deployment to globally-based employees.
