Pro-face America announces Pro-face Connect embedded HMI service

February 2, 2018 - Pro-face America announce the release of Pro- face Connect, an embedded HMI service that is designed to allow customers the ability to access machines remotely and securely from anywhere at anytime.
Most current Pro-face HMIs and iPCs are Pro-face Connect ready, allowing users to access to their machines remotely to program, troubleshoot, and maintain the unit’s performance. Pro-face Connect is configured based on familiar HMI panels and software, so there is no need for extra hardware or accessories. By adding the Pro-face Connect Link Manager license, customers can expand their abilities to manage other devices connected to the HMI, including PLCs. Pro-face Connect is ready to go, with an online upgrade for activation.
Pro-face follows a Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) process, which includes penetration tests, threat model analysis, and strict requirements from the cyber security committee of Schneider Electric, Pro-face’s parent company. This process allows Pro- face Connect to be compliant with Industry level standards for security.
Pro-face hardware and software is installed in more than 300,000 factory-floor systems worldwide. Pro-face America is headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
