November 19, 2015 - Phoenix Contact releases TC mGuard cellular connection that uses cellular networks, such as Verizon and AT&T, to provide secure remote communications wherever a wired connection is not possible.
The TC mGuard meets the demand for remote maintenance and secure supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), two growing needs in today’s connected industrial world.
For remote maintenance and support, the TC mGuard connects through Phoenix Contact’s free mGuard Secure Cloud service. This gives original equipment manufacturers, machine builders, and system integrators access to service their equipment easily and avoid heavy travel expenses. The combination of cellular networks and a virtual private network (VPN) ensures a secure solution for remote maintenance and support.
For secure SCADA, the TC mGuard also offers a solution for customers that have a higher concern for security and availability of their sites. Features such as an active firewall, VPN technology, network redundancy, and support for multiple carriers under one part number ensure high availability and secure applications.
Phoenix Contact’s TC mGuard for remote maintenance and secure SCADA applications takes advantage of the cellular networks like AT&T and Verizon to provide secure remote connectivity solutions.
