Here, e-fficiency identified degraded performance on a compressor that, following maintenance activity, increased performance by over 10%. In addition, italso detected faulty instrumentation, responsible for lost production on acompressor train.e-fficiency will be used by maintenance personnel on an additional Amerada Hess facility, called the Scott platform, to track the performance of centrifugal compressors, to enable maximum performance gains, and to foresee any need for preventive maintenance. Amerada Hess is driving for production increases on the Scott platform, the largest oil and gas field to come on stream within the UK sector of the North Sea within the last decade.
