Honeywell Americas Symposium Draws More Than 560 Automation Decisionmakers to Phoenix

Customer-Run Event Features Live Demonstrations of Experion PKS; Speakers from Around the WorldPHOENIX, June 25, 2003 - The Honeywell (NYSE: HON) Industry Solutions 30thannual North American Users Group Symposium drew more than 560 automation decision makers from 20 countries. The symposium, held June 8-13 in Phoenix, is developed by and for industrial users of Honeywell solutions. A 12-member, user-led steering committee determines the symposium theme and reviews and approves all presentations and sessions. This year's theme was "Creating Value Through Networking." "More than 40 percent of this year's attendees were first-time participants,which provided a lot of fresh input to the conference," said Russ Hall of Texas Petrochemicals, Chairman of the Users Group Americas Steering Committee. "I was also pleased to see that user-specific networking sessions added this year worked out so well. It was a great week to develop andstrengthen relationships with my process control peers."Presentation topics at the symposium ranged from system migration and calibration management to process control console design. Honeywell Vice President of Technology, Paul Butler, and Director of Product Marketing, Peter Zornio, presented Honeywell Industry Solutions' technology roadmap and outlined new solutions and upgrades scheduled for the coming year. Other presenters included representatives of DuPont, ExxonMobil, Gulf States Paper, the HART Communication Foundation, Nova Chemicals and PetroCanada.The symposium agenda offered high-level general sessions, networking sessions, and industry breakout sessions for refining/petrochemicals; pulp, paper and printing; power generation; chemicals; consumer goods; oil and gas; and life sciences."The heart of this symposium is knowledge sharing among industry colleagues," said Jack Bolick, President of Honeywell Industry Solutions.
