Honeywell Announces Sasol Standardizes German Plant with Honeywell's Experion PKS
Chemical Manufacturer Commits to Two-Year Service and Management ContractPHOENIX, July 21, 2003 - Honeywell (NYSE: HON) Industry Solutions today announced that Sasol Germany GmbH Moers has signed a contract to standardize all of its plant operations on Honeywell's Experion PKS(tm) Process Knowledge System(tm). Sasol has purchased Value Plus, Honeywell's softwareenhancement and support program for Experion PKS systems, as well as parts management and site services. Experion PKS will preserve Sasol Moers' investment in automation and boost operational efficiency.The standardization will also provide for faster, more accurate troubleshooting, which will minimize downtime and increase systemavailability. The site-wide project began in March 2003 and will run through mid-2005.This contract, one of several between Honeywell and Sasol, complements previous automation and re-instrumentation projects at the Moers site. At Sasol Moers, Experion PKS employs the latest technology to streamline operations and improve efficiency throughout the plant, and has improvedproblem tracking, simplified delivery compliance and enhanced parts and licenses management during projects.
