The Lynx Family features 15-inch and 17-inch flat panel LCD displays and analog touchscreen in a 1-slot or 3-slot half-length PCI slot chassis. With a choice of an Intel Celeron, Pentium® III or Pentium 4 processor, up to 1GB of DRAM, a floppy and CD-ROM or CD-RW/DVD drive, the Lynx IPC Family offers flexibility of configuration and more than enough power to meet the most demanding of plant floor automation applications. Other key features include an on-board 10/100 Base-T Ethernet port, a 1394 Firewire port, two USB ports, two RS-232 serial ports, a printer port and PS/2 keyboard/mouse ports. Standard rotating media (hard disk drive) or solid-state drive configurations are supported. Mounting options for the Lynx Family include panel mounting in a NEMA enclosure or mounting to a VESA standard arm. Configurations start for as low as $2,295 (15”) and $2,995 (17”). The Lynx Family of IPCs supports Microsoft Windows® Operating Systems such as Windows NT, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP Professional, Windows eNT or eXP (embedded), as well as DOS. Lynx IPCs can be ordered without an Operating System, supporting customer installed alternative operating systems such as Linux. Nematron’s Open Automation Software Suite can be bundled with the Lynx IPC. Key components of Nematron’s Open Automation Suite are OpenView HMI/SCADA software and OpenControl PC-based Control software. OpenView is a set of powerful tools that allow advanced HMI (Human Machine Interface), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) and Web Server applications to be built. Key features of OpenView include alarming, reports, recipes, trending, data logging, web publishing and OPC Client/Server. OpenView conforms to industry standards including Microsoft DNA, OPC, DDE, ODBC, HTML, XML, SOAP and ActiveX. OpenControl provides advanced PC-based Control using Nematron’s patented flowchart based programming software as well as more traditional ladder logic programming.
