Dataradio to Upgrade Fort Smith Police Department with High-Speed Mobile Data System
Arkansas Public Safety Agency upgrades Dataradio equipment to provide infrastructure for increased data requirementsAtlanta, Georgia December 10, 2004 Dataradio was recently awarded the opportunity to upgrade the mobile data system of the Fort Smith, Arkansas Police Department. When implementing the upgrade, Dataradio worked with Fort Smith and Sebastian County to provide a smooth system transition from their existing 25.6 Kbps to Dataradios high-speed 43.2 Kbps system. The project was completed in stages and was finished ahead of schedule. We are very pleased with our Dataradio products and look forward to a continued relationship, said Randy Nielsen, Public Safety IS Analyst for the City of Fort Smith Information and Technology Systems Department. This speed upgrade was necessary to address the additional data requirements made on our system as well as the expected increase in data demands the future will bring. Dataradio provided the support we needed and more! Their support staff discovered a faulty coax connection in the existing system that gave us even better coverage across our countywide area. Dataradio recognizes the critical nature of Public Safety wireless data networks, remarked Ray Pache, Director of Government Sales for Dataradio. We are committed to providing technology and support that gives our customers a system they can trust for their wireless data requirements today as well as a system they can depend on tomorrow!ABOUT DATARADIODataradio is a leading designer and manufacturer of reliable, Trusted Wireless Data solutions for mission critical applications.
