GE Fanuc Appoints Kevin Roach Vice President of Sales

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – September 14, 2004 – GE Fanuc Automation Americas, Inc., a unit of GE Infrastructure, has promoted Kevin Roach to the position of vice president – Americas sales. In his new position, Roach will be responsible for sales activities related to GE Fanuc’s diverse industrial automation products ranging from controllers and operator interfaces to motion control and Proficy™ Intelligent Production Solutions. In addition to his work with GE Fanuc, he currently serves as chairman of the Manufacturing Enterprise Solutions Association (MESA) International, a not-for-profit organization of manufacturers and information system providers focused on leveraging technology in order to achieve business goals.Previously, Roach served as vice president of global solutions for GE Fanuc Automation. He joined GE Fanuc in 1998 as vice president of CIMPLICITY® software in Albany, N.Y. Prior to joining GE, Roach was the founder of SensorPulse Corp., South Easton, Mass., and served as the company’s president. Additionally, he formed and led a systems integration business with a focus on robotics and machine vision for use in flexible automation applications. Roach holds several patents in the area of advanced communication protocols. He attended Stonehill College and Bridgewater State College for his undergraduate studies and received his Executive MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
